When one can fix the entire sport, what is the need to fix individual matches.
I do not think Lalit Modi was involved in match fixing. But other allegations, with good amount of proof, have come up recently. Not just against Modi, but owners of different teams. Right from tax evasion, to money laundering.

Looking at yesterday's match between DC and CSK, I thought there is definitely match fixing, I don't know who fixed it but it is too surprising to see that DC with such a powerful batsmen couldn't even chase a moderate target. I don't want to say that I don't believe CSK performed well but it's often hard to digest that it's a mere probability to loose the game.

Comrade Jyothi, the more u move from SPORTS to SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT, elements such as THRILL, DRAMA, will figure more than pure sportsmanship. This happened in "professional" wrestling too which is why it got renamed into World Wrestling ENTERTAINMENT from WOrld Wrestling FEDERATION.
In a sports entertainment like show, people like more electricity. The fast paced 20 overs is just 1 part of the show but then as IPL progresses, people want new entertainment acts. Then in due time u start seeing drama figure into sports!
The Rajastan Royal skipper was seen in a hotel room w/ Chennai SUper Kings cheerleader!
The Kolkata Night Riders wicketkeeper is dating the DElhi Dare devil's fast bowler's wife...
ALl these acts figure into the play. This is how professional wrestling became wrestling entertainment.
I Just thnk Lalit should have hired VInce McMahon as an advisor and just renamed IPL-C (cricket) into IPL-CE (cricket entertainment) . ...more
