Opinion is divided on the issue of using army against Maoists. What is your view?

Let me reproduce your own similar question asked sometime back and my answer to that. Probably you did not like my answer that time. I am not in favor of use of Army but in favor of their strategy and training to a separate central security forces. Such a force already exists which has been raised by the Armys counter terrorism unit and this force has been paid for by the Home Ministry and not the Defense Ministry.

(Your Q:Do you think the Maoists issue is getting out of control? What according to you is the best way to tackle this?

A: I believe that Home Ministry is either unaware of the actual strength and weakness of the Maoists or under estimated them. Maoists have been building up their strength over several decades with a dedicated military approach. HM is not ideally suited to handle Maoists who have undergone military type training and have a military doctrine. HMs present approach and the Dantewada disaster prove it all. Terror apologists like arundhati roy are the main cause for the dozens of years of maoist violence and the death of thousands of innocents. These terrorists will only respect force. They must be bombed and hunted down mercilessly.
