Q.

Will Congress be able to control its arrogance at the lower level. Agreed that at the top level, people are sober, but will they be able to control the vast numbers at the lower level? Already, we have seen how Laloo was insulted by lower level leaders in spite of the statement of MMS that we should forget the bitterness, frictions & acrimony of the election campaign and we must join hands together to build the nation.

When Congress had lost and was like a child lost in a thick jungle, Lalu helped the Congress. He also worked to defuse many problems and help the UPA. Now, that he has only 4 MPs, it is not proper for some junior Congressmen to insult him and he deserves respect. Lalu has lost but not wiped out. He is one person who can come back to power later and can be very useful to the Congress in time of need. Dr. Singh our PM is a gentleman and his advice should have been taken well by those who think they are all powerful and try to belittle leaders like Lalu. As suggested by Dr. Singh, it is time to join hands and work for the progress of the nation and they should bell the small kitten in the Congress house to control themselves. Persons like Lalu can work overtime to create troubles and misunderstanding within the ruling coalition partners. Hence, he should be properly rehabilitated.

In most states congress has no elected representatives and are represented by people nominated .As such most of them have no public support. They always ride on other shoulders. And to keep their places intact they act tough on their junior partners in their states. But in the case of Lalu he is geeting from congress what he had given to congress prepoll.

For once, Lalu got his own medicine. He has been calling everybody by any name so far. So, I have no sympathy for him. Any victory brings with it surge in self confidence and which borders on arrogance. As a party, I feel that Communists are the most arrogant. If you remember the kind of statements given by AB Bardhan, Yechuri in 2004, stance taken by them, etc, that is unpardonable. I think, people of WB and Kerala have taught them a lesson this time
