Do you think that our national parties are at the mercy of regional parties ? Without the support of regional parties, a national party can not form a Govt. ?

Leaders became selfishly ambitious in due course of time after Independence.
The Nationalistic spirit of the Freedom Struggle days, gradually evaporated and leaders of different regions started stoking regional fires and found it more profitable for themselves. To be ministers and Chief Ministers in their states than just MPs in Delhi attracted them and regional parties sprouted everywhere. Powerful families conjured up regional parties and convinced the people that they can develop their region with more heart, mind and soul than can Delhi.
So, National Parties are now seen by the people as Delhi Parties and Regional Parties as "our own" parties, which can do more development for them.
That's why now National parties have to kowtow to the regional parties.

At the end of Kaliyuga we are suppose to act reverse.
It is the end of Kaliyuga or not, our national parties have forced voters to opt for regional parties.
Now onwards, pulling the goat from behind is a parmanent affair.
