Yes, everyone tries to overtake on narrow roads and they speed up when they see someone crossing the road, in addition there are potholes, people coming in wrong directions, no traffic rules, no one moves inspite of honking etc.

Not at all. everybody will brake and save you if you cross blindfolded. Just try it before 5 o clock.. Life becomes risky when you take a peg more than necessary..
