The basic strength Indian marriages wa itch the mutual dependency.
Now a days both r equally strong terms of knowledge, qualification and finance and moreover, everything is available at cost, so that fabric is getting worn or torn very fast.

In the Past they married again, and again and again. Cost of Living was Cheap. One could afford 1 hundred wives. Now High Inflation will not allow. So Divorce is fashionable

They used to separate first wife and got married to other lady
