He who wants a rose must respect the thorn. Being brilliant is no great feat if you respect nothing. In the end we are all separate: our stories, no matter how similar, come to a fork and diverge. We are drawn to each other because of our similarities, but it is our differences we must learn to respect. Respect is what we owe; love, what we give. This is the final test of a gentleman: his respect for those who can be of no possible service to him. Finally , Respect your efforts, respect yourself. Self-respect leads to self-discipline.
