We did not know about hem then; even till graduation level no guides were used. Original books were read. The teachers/ professors taught full syllabus, and there was no need to read other than the original books. But, guides are now helpful to think in right direction to frame the answer of a certain question.; whereas we had to think an answer of a question in the exam.hall on The basis of what we read. This did not use to the be scoring very high marks.

I remember in our times guides were not allowed in school, and if somebody is found to be having guides than books were confiscated by teacher/today after so many years i found that examinations are not true tests and many colleagues who passes with first class ,distinction etc failed in practical life/in times of computers i feel that reference books should be allowed in exams and percentage of passing be raised to 50 percent/exam should not be once in a year test but based on quartely tests so if student misses exam he has to repeat only 3 months/once in a year exam is affected by personal reasons such as personasl illness, accidents, death in a family ,stirkes etc and student could not reach exam center in time/our exam system was designed by britishers who wanted clerks to run their adminstration/now with click of mouse on a computer you get all information what is the use of memory test?
