The devastating loss against the England team on home ground...and the losses overseas..
have matured him as a person...as a team mate and as a Captain....

He may be. His records proves itself. and he improves . The only thing he has to succeed is a series win outside the sub continent , i.e. mainly in Australia, England or South Africa. If he does it then one can consider him as a great captain. Dear no doubt he is a better captain now, but I still consider Tiger as the best captain India ever had as he infused the confidence that India can win the matches overseas when draw was considered as a win. Next to him Dada is a great captain. 11 overseas win. Any how Dhoni is at present doing best.

Actually Dhoni is more 'lucky' than 'better' captain! The Australians had to restructure their team now! And introduce newcomers! All this to Dhoni's advantage, if I may say so!
Anyway, the credit for successes (22 I think) as a captain would definitely go to him.
