What has religions to do with God?
Hatred, conflict and fighting is the way of Religion. The whole history of humanity is full of blood of innocents....fighting and killing in the name of God and religion.

I do believe in God. And as far I know there is ONLY ONE GOD. If there were many other gods, then they would be fighting like us with one claiming this part of the earth is mine and another claiming that, that particular ocean belongs to me and another wanting to make it turn the other way about and so on. Since the whole Universe is run by this ONE GOD, the planets remain at that particular distance. Otherwise, the god who made the sun would bring it very close to earth and fry the people living on earth who are made by another god.

We fight because we do not know God nor listen to His teachings. And neither do the religions teach people to accept all people as their very own because they are all created by the same God. So religions instead of leading all people towards God and teaching them to care for one another - mislead people with their poisonous teachings and do incite people towards hatred and bloodshed - which should never be the case with anyone who believes or ...more

The Ten Commandments say in the First Commandment that "they shall pray to no other God than I" meaning Abraham, known to the Hindus as Brahma. This directly implies other Gods are in existence but not accepted by them. The Ten Commandments are used by the Jewish people and by Christians who espouse the Old Testament at least.

Because there is only one God and everybody wants to own Him, we see fights over who gets to keep the God. If there were multiple Gods then each religion will own its own God and will not have reason to fight.
