The bible says, If you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly father will also forgive you, But if you do not forgive men their sins, your father will not forgive your sins. Christianity is not a religion it is a way to life and truth. I do agree it is difficult , but its only for a short period of time , in the long run it will surely turn to be a blessing. We are before god, and he is so faithful that for each and every good things we do he is there to give us blessings. So we have to remember god in our difficult situation and he will help us.

The idea in forgiving and loving is simply to care for the principle and not the physical idntity of the peson carying those sins. But, since our consciousness is part of the body, any harm to it is simply sacrifice on our part if we don't retaliate it physically.Such a sacrifice must be for a deserved person or cause. The 'undeserved' sacrifice is simply 'suicide' and it helps neither you nor the society. The persecutor is also not benefitted in the long run.The principle and prctice, here, must b judged very carefully.Lots of wisdom is calle for.Blind forgiveness may prove counter productive.

Hei Terence Gama,
your question is good. there are some principles which are to be followed for the good of the humanity. they are principle because we need them. It does not mean that those who do not follow are sent out of it. but we are human beings with our weakness, we expected to follow them. It does not make xty a difficult religion rather it differenciate xty from other religion. In my view it is a very matured religion for very cultured society. We can be very very happy, but at a mere sight of our enimy we usually lose our happiness. Who is responciple for it? in a way we also have a major role in losing our happiness.

To forgive your enemy and yet love them is a task difficult indeed. Only Jesus could perform this feat could firstly because he was Son of God. Secondly he was divine. People wrongly believe that by emulating things the Christ did would make them a true Christian but it is not so. By emulating Christ they not only make mockery of him by equating them with Christ but also prove them to be pretenders. Forgiving nature of Christ was a part of his conduct. He did not have to make a conscious effort to be kind, loving, patient, sympathetic and forgiving. Whereas, if we try to do it; then we would simply be pretending. What should we do then to be a good Christian and to acquire Christ nature? Only thing we have to do is to adore him and worship Him. This alone would be enough to imbibe his nature in us. With his conduct as a part of our nature we would be empowered to forgive our enemies and to love them.

Yes. Christianinity is not only a very difficult religion, but very complex too. it is because the Almighty Father has set a high price for a high reward, like streneous studies and hardwork are required for a high ranking pass. He did not formulate this law just for man only, because even for His own Son, one of Trinity, was subjected to take birth as a man to be sacrified for the redemption of hamanity. Jesus said, His Kingdom is not on earth and those who want to live with Him in Eternity for ever have to pass through all sorts of hardship, inequity, sufferings, and persecution. It is the Law of God. Not only the one under question, every teaching of Jesus, Comandments of God and the teachings of Apostiles stress these facts. Ofcourse man as he is cannot tolerate these and that is why help is offered through the Holy Spirit. In Christianity spiritual and physical freedom is restricted to the level of a pious life, whereas a full life on earth facing the worldly comfort is given too ...more
