Make your porridge with Quaker Porridge Oats using half water and half milk or cream and add either sugar, honey, cinnamon, golden syrup, jam, berries, prunes, dried fruit, nuts like walnuts and fresh fruit such as bananas. More healthier porridge recipes would include toppings of fresh fruit such as chopped apple, bananas or fresh berries for extra fibre and daily reqirement of portions of fruit.
However here is an even better idea for you - make your porridge oats as normal and serve it with thick cream and sprinkling of light muscovado sugar on top and, if you are feeling decadent, accompany with a glass of Scotts whisky, preferably a 16-year-old single malt - then you will really be ready to face the day!!

Till yesterday, the oat meal was very tasty, Now, suddenly you find it could have been made tastier ! Very soon, you will feel that the sambhar lacks the flavour of asafoetida, the rice is either not cooked properly or overcooked, what kind of a coconut is being used in the chutney to make it taste so horrible, a new recipe for rasam has been invented like that, This is the case with all males slowly but steadily ageing, with not much work to be attended to, with time hanging heavily over head, spending most of the time gazing out of the window aimlessly,,, Perhaps spending more time in rediff qna will be helpful for such persons (including myself) and all the food stuff will begin to taste better, Just try for one month and see whether things, particularly taste of oats porridge, improve, Good luck
