Remember her quite well as chris Evert .. an all time great touch base line player. She and Connors were deeply in love with each other. Chris Evert had a great following that included this humble person. I hated Martina Navratlova for handing out defeats to Chris. She subsequently married Lloyd.. a journeyman tennis player of UK who acted as her coach for some time. Chris had an extraordinary physique. She laid foundation for the kind of tennis being played by the ladies base liners today. Monica Seles .. can be termed as a left handed Chris Evert. She would have been an all time record holder in ladies circuit had it not been for Martina Navratilova.

Christine Marie "Chris" Evert (Evert-Lloyd 1979-1987) (born December 21, 1954) is a former World No. 1 professional tennis player from the United States. She won 18 Grand Slam singles titles, including a record 7 at the French Open. She was the World No. 1 female singles player for seven years.

Evert's career win-loss record in singles matches of 1,309-146 (.900) is the best of any professional player in tennis history. In tennis writer Steve Flink's book The Greatest Tennis Matches of the Twentieth Century, he named Evert as the third best female player of the 20th century, after Steffi Graf and Martina Navratilova.[1] Evert never lost in the first round of a Grand Slam singles tournament, her earliest exits being in the third round. In women's doubles, Evert won 3 Grand Slam titles. Her husband is professional golfer Greg Norman.
