Every new concept takes time to accept by people and continue in practice, leaving the traditional. Society is a slow learner.

Primitive societies think it is their RIGHT to interfere in others personal matter!
DONT LIVE and DONT LET OTHERS live their life.....is their motto.... like Crabs in a Can!
These SHEEP people live and die a barren life....shamelessly looking over shoulders all the time, to conform to OTHERS. This vegetating life they think is a pious life.....not noticing they never live at all.

Different communities handle this in different manners
Some do not interfere in the matters of religious faith of individuals
While some think that accepting of new ideas, other than whatever is written in their books, is blasphemous and punishable
