We husband and wife are the joint holders of Titan Industries shares . We are presently living abroad for past eight years as NRI. Hence we have not been able to Demat the shares on our name. When we last came to India in 2006 we sent the shares through ICICI Bank for transfer and demat but they were returned as the signature of my wife did not match. Since we had to return and the process takes long time we have till now not completed the demat process. We will request your advice on the following issues:
1) Can we complete the demat process from Canada ? If yes then how?

Getting your wife's signature attested by a bank official alone can bail you out of this problem...!

Please liase with your bank/demat service provider, u can complete the formalities from canada . the bank might ask for some papers, which u can send from canada. this time when u send a fresg application for demat of shares please make sure u get your wifes signature attested from your banker in canada or a notary public there or from indian consulate, whichever is convenient to u

Who is owner of that share ?>> if u r owner of that share than open ur new demat ( individual) and demat ur share.. than sell out and buy again in ur joint account ..
