The biggest disadvantage of western culture is that we will lose our values towards each person & elders, strong good fundamentals & etc as the influence will rise

Also now a days the western people have become more inteligent & have recognised the greatness of our culture & religion, so now there are many westerners who are very much impresed with the culture, values & religions of ours

Also i have seen that many foreign couple come to india & wed in our traditional way.
They have also been following our YOGA. etc

But we will be fools if now also we can't understand the greatness of our culture & values, & still be getting attracted & following WC.

India "Westernized" when the Aryans came into India from Eurasia & Europe. I don't know why we think "Western" culture means "abandoning elders", "not having enough time 4 family" and what not....those are a part of urbanization. In urban areas, u need to have a more fast paced life because cities have more infrastructure than "traditional India"- village...and thus cities need more infrastructure maintenance. So ppl naturally have busier lives which lead to nuclear families.

Whose disadvantage? West's disadvantage or India's disadvantage?
Culture is culture. If Indians like their culture who can stop them. If Westerners like our culture we would encourage them to adopt it, would we not?
It is also a misplaced notion of ours that we are "spiritual and value based people". Nothing could be more wrong.
Our philosophers have preached Sambhog se Samadhi ki ore.
Western culture is based on their concepts. And no where it has brought them down! On the contrary, West is where most of us want to shift. Those who can't want to adopt their culture. Besides we are indebted to the West for each and every invention and discovery that we use in our day to day life and make our lives better in quality. Only we don't want to acknowledge it! Perhaps that's our culture!

There is lot of difference between two cultures while west is for physical pleasure our is on spritual/value based so they are giving short attraction to our people to change their views and involve them in harmful activities.
