It's not about smartness or stupidity- it's about the type of life story you want to write. India suits people who have a "I was born. I studied. I got a job. I got married. I got kids. I got them married. I got diabetes. I died." attitude. If you want to write an extra ordinary life story it is VERY difficult to do in India, you are better off trying your luck even in Africa!
Indians are obsessed with being ordinary. Families even advise children to choose the safest route in their lives, not the most passionate route. So Indians who want to write extra ordinary life stories, almost ALL of them emigrate abroad. This is my perspective. In our work culture we have a "Just do your job and go home" attitude. In USA for example, they encourage innovation n listen to u r ideas.
