Lcd means liquid crystal display
and led means light emitting diode.....
as the name suggests, lcd has a liquid in it......... and the led has diodes in it........

Lcd is liquid crystal display and led stands for light emitting diode ......d engg background helps some times really..............i even know there structural composition
