Did u ever come accross any calender which has not limit i.e. no end date....even a perpetual calender haz an end date depending on the highest digit.....If so then why is Mayans calender being mistooken for end of the wrld? Et calender does not even predict end of the wrld by any symbol/signal!!!!

Luni-solar calander followed in north India as Vikram samvat may be such.
