Television plays a very important role in today's world. As we all know that television gives very important information and knowledge we cannot say that television is not only for entertainment. Channels like discovery, national geographic, news channel etc gives valuable information that is not given in newspapers. Reality shows should be banned as it affects youth generation, it does not give any valuable information.

Because they attract their mind more than their studies..If we can make them to understand that study for them is more important n beneficial than the entertainment in cinema n TV ,I hope they will change their mind n show more interest towards their studies.

It is not only today's youth.
Percentage wise, probably yesterday's youths were more attracted to TV and cinema than today's youth.
A big section of today's youth is more attracted towards social networking and other internet stuff.

When it comes to discipline based things like studies or work, be it youth or old age people, there is a big percentage of people trying to get away from it. If this was not the case, then India would have been a developed society within first 30-40 years after the Independence. Let us face the facts.

I disagree with the gist of your question.
