Before choosing and getting into a relationship with your broker try to search about its historical performance, its popularity with existing customers, legal disputes if there are any, its membership Details and Quality of management. These details are very easy to find out once you search them on internet. A great understanding comes from reading the review comments of existing customers.
Once you have chosen a renowned and reliable name it's time to fill up the contractual documents. Just don't behave like you are buying a mobile SIM card where you give your photo and ID proof and leave the rest to the vendor. He is free to fill all your details in the form without your knowledge. This is one of the biggest mistakes which create the financial mess for the investor. Read the contractual document carefully and fill the details as per you want it. Don`t buy what he recommends. Don`t try luck in intra day deals. Buy stocks after a little home work. If the stocks you sold have appreciated, don`t buy unless it falls at least by 5-10%. Methods are many. Keep changing your log in password.
