Yes you are very right in your thinking that probably Anna want to reconcile Rahul about his stand for the common people by showing him the plight of the rural people of Ralegaon Siddhi and other neibouring villages.I don't think that Anna has any other intentions.

Anna perhaps wants Rahul to feel the atmosphere of unity amongst the people of Ralegaon Siddhi and make every town self sufficient. I wish Rahul obliges him as he is being groomed to be our future Prime Minister.
