"Cinderella and The Little Glass Slipper" is a folk tale embodying a myth-element of unjust oppression/triumphant reward. Cindrella is an artficial character. So her glass slippers are also imaginary only.

No. The Fairy Godmother magically transforms many things for her. One of the things the fairy does is to change her slippers into glass slippers.

In some versions the "Glass slippers" are mentioned while in many other versions only "Slipper" and even "Shoe" is mentioned.
