Charlie Chaplins first movie with dialogues was the Great Dictator in the year 1940. It was a take-on Nazism and Hitler. The movie was released one year before the US announced its decision to enter World War II. Charlie Chaplin played the role of Adenoid Hynkel a dig on Hitler himself.
