The talk of 'precision attacks' on identifiable targets within Pakistan is only a rhetoric if anyone including Abdul Kalam thinks that it will stop at that. Any intrusion by India would immediately have a Pakistani response. One has to understand the difference between Indian and Pakistan psychology. They are shameless, have no principles on which to stand having fostered all these terrorist groups with in their country, the Taliban has virtually taken over the SWAT territory (also known as Switzerland of Pakistan), just a mere stone's throw away from Islamabad, introduced Islamic laws and called for closing down of all Girl's schools in that area with effect from 15 Jan 09. Pakistan has the military werewithal to fight them and yet they are not even bothered. Why I have mentioned this specific example is, one has to understand the present psyche of the top military leadership in Pakistan. Virtually the entire top brass and the senior ranking leadership of Pak military is a by-product ...more

Well, I've a simple answer.......... We(not only our politicians) are looking more for the negotiations(a kind of Bahanebaazi) than an inspiration. The dedication is lacking everywhere. The way politics is done in our country is actually a big problem, bigger than this terrorism. We have leaders like Shivraj Patil, Amar Singh, A.R.R. Anutulay, Mufti Mohammad Syed, Bal Thackrey and many more. What these fundamentalists are doing at such important and influential posts? Not hard to understand anyways. Our govt is thinking that such action would make the Muslims of our country angry causing deep unrest. Here they need a better sense, Muslims are more intelligent and sensible than these headless chickens.Govt need to emphasised that these terrorist gorups have no religious or ideological n moral fervors as it was a decade back. The idealism is superficial now, beneath this the lust for power and money lies. It has more to do with the personal interest of an insane mind and an insane nation th ...more

Right sometimes when all the options have been utilized and nothing seems to be working, unfortunately we are left only with one option that is to use force. I think we have reached to that point as far as Pakistan is conerned.
