The truth about Satyam hit the country like a tornado, as the psyche of the Indian was never attuned to the idea of an IT Czar behaving like a common crook, fraudster and cheat. We have heard of lot many unscrupulous 'fly by night' operators who came into the market and cheated millions of Indians till SEBI tightened its norms and brought about stringent rules for raising of public money. It is all about perceptions that our mind holds. Lot many deride the Reliance Ambani brothers or other big Industrial houses, calling names and always attributing motives to anything they do. So, if something like this had happened with Reliance, lot many would have jumped around and said "I told you this would happen long time back and you never believed it". That is perception. There wouldn't have been the kind of shock or dismay if it was them. But IT has always been seen as different. Satyam holds lots of complications in present, only a giant rsecue operation and company takeover can save the situation. What it took years to build up got ruined in days by greed and non sense. Hope India incorp. doesnt bahve rash for future. Its a shame for Indians who pioneered in IT have created a biggest fraud in this sector too !
