But one can not ignore the disease in the fear of medicine's side effects. Side effects cost you much lesser than the indecisiveness at the time when a decision is required.

Quite true to the extent that decisions are actually like medicines that might have side effects based on the pros n cons one may have in his/her life. Be aware that increasing patient involvement in decision making may mean that the patient decides to suffer a bit more.
