People need to be educated on the 'wastage' of burning too many crackers. Social workers can educate the elders and children can be educated in the schools. Not that I am saying there should be no bursting of crackers at all but too much is not required. Instead, they can spend on electrical decorations and more 'diyas'.
Things have changed and now we know that crackers and fireworks cause pollution. We need to change with changing time.

It's sheer nuisance and insensibility on the part of people in present day context to be polluting the atmosphere this way by burning crackers when global warming has already threatened life on earth,,,,,, they prove that they are thoughtless and have no love for the future generations ,,,,,,,,,,
