It is true that India has the competence to produce goods at the cheaper rate after China. But at what cost? Both U.S. and South Korea are developed nations having stringent rules and regulations governing the manufacturing process. They have stricter environmental rules and they enforce them without compromise. So the cost of production is higher there. Compared to them, India moves up the ladder of competence to produce the goods competitively with disregard to its own people and environment. According to me that is not a great achievement.
