Controlling the urges for sensual pleasures during the youth can only lead to the path of god......... how do you view this?

Yes, one might be able to do so if they can keep themselves away from such distractions & maintain their focus on the set goals!!

When one develops positive attitude, has compassion towards the poor and needy and extends help without asking, then you are leading to the path of God. Sensual pleasures by itself is not sin and infact it helps one to maintain disciplined family life.
