That is the impression that the so called parliamentarians who have been elected there by a general vote and luck to be there because of the reservation of constituencies want to make out of the issue. Now Maya has joined the bandwagon by shooting off a letter to the PM. In the process, they want to bury the crime and highlight the person because he belongs to XYZ category. This is the tragedy of this democracy called India, where for political expediency everything will be allowed to be buried under the carpet and the culprits even when there is damming evidence against them are allowed to go scot free. We have a penchant for coverting any issue of public concern where propriety is being questioned into a religious or caste or sectarian spectacle of a drama.
