I am interested in fashion designing. What should I do after the 12th standard?

Dear Kapadia, The basic qualification required for a fashion designer is 10+2. There are a number of good institutions imparting training by conducting programmes in fashion design and similar other programmes. To name a few institutes you may like to visit NIFT located at Hauz Khas New Delhi This is an autonomous institute and operates under the Ministry of Textiles and they have a programme in fashion designing with a duration of four years which is equivalent to a degree. At the end of the programme a Degree , duly recognised, is awarded to the qualifying student. The students get placed in different garment manufacturing companies or export houses through campus placement. Similarly Pearl Academy of Fashion located at Naraina Industrial Area, New Delhi is another reputed institute imparting training in fashion designing and similar other programmes. Dude you are in 12th ..chillax...take a breath...no need to worry so soon..complete your secondary education first..and then opt for some good colleges.. .just opt for a good one in an industrial hub like Symbiosis in Pune or IMS DIA in Noida.. it will make things easier for you....Answered by abhishek gupta, 20 Jul '11 04:40 pm
