Q.
Men spend their lives in anticipations,in determining to be vastly happy at some period when they have time. But the present time has one advantage over every otherit is our own. Past opportunities are gone, future have not come. We may lay in a stock of pleasures, as we would lay in a stock of wine; but if we defer the tasting of them too long, we shall find that both are soured by age.

Amazingly true.....yes most of times we dont enjoy our present either coz we r regretting and sad for our past actions OR we r too much worried for our future...in these worries and thoughts we lose our precious and joyful moments of happiness we r being blessed with in our present....and then that present becomes past and then we regret.....we shud enjoy each and every moment of life as it comes...thnx for this reminder Bhai G....i needed this most......

Shail has given an excellent exposition of the position. We are like the miser owing a cow which give a kilo of milk everyday. He does not milk her for a long time hoping to milch lot of milk on one day. In the meantime the cow dries up and what the mister get is not milk but a sound kick.
