Diabetics should avoid all kind of sweet food and substances including Jaggery. Compared to refined white sugar, jaggery is definitely a lot more healthy, because unlike Sugar it also contains Iron, mineral content and vitamins. However it is still Raw Sugar, still contains Sucrose and hence people with Diabetes are advised NOT to eat Jaggery.

Calorific level exceeds it is a problem as diabetics is metabolic disorder. Many theories are disputed in diabetics and advanced theories are leaping out everyday and experts view also differs . Diabetics is a confused subject it is my humble opinion.
