The best of South Indian Actors according to me is Late Rajkumar. No doubt about this. Please do not compare. For you it could be Mammoty/Mohanlal. For andhraites it is Mr. Chiranjeevi and for tamilians it is Kamal Hassan/Rajinikanth.
It varies from states to states and because of the great language divide. Vinod how many languages are you aware of? Can U speak all these languages??
How can anybody compare an actor without understanding the language or without watching his movies ? What do I know about Mohanlal/Mammotty or what do you know about Rajkumar ?

Kamal hasan in tamil and all other languages he has successfully placed own talent.
mamooty and mohanlal are equal but in this situation mamooty has write place to reach than mohan lal.
chiranjeevi and rajkumar - are always superstar in andhra and all over the situation.my vote always to kamal hasan

Actually MOHANLAL is the ever best Actor of India. He is one of best actors in the world also. Kamal Hassan comes the Second place. Nasiruddin Shah, Bharat Gopi, Sivaji Ganesan, Thilakan, Nedumudi Venu are also excellents actors of India
