Do you agree with the statment of Shushil Shinde that India will be power surplus in 5 years
Given that
Presently there is a deficit of 70000 MW.
In last year 5 Year plan it was planned for addition of 42000 MW.
Then Ministry revised the target to 30000+ MW.
Could not achieve even 25000 MW
In addition it seems there were some major lapses in awarding the 4000 MW UMPP, with Sasan plant where the Globleq Singapore is having a turn over of Rs 1.44 Cr (as per the Audit report), and as per the bid condition it should have minimum turn over over of Rs 2400 Cr, However the company has quote

Sasan UMPP is rewarded to REL. But What about the rest?
It seems that the power shortage is still there.

Even after 5 years also we are going to say the same story. We can't hv surplus power in near future.The more "SUPPLY" is made, "THE DEMAND" also going to increase.Can any power minister say what will be the power consumption required after 5 years from now?
