Can bank charge interest/pre interest without disbursing a single rupee. Just after sending a letter that your home loan is ready Axis bank has charged 12000 odd rupee.

Yes, they can charge as processing fee. However, if you decide not to avail loan from this bank, you can always get some refund.

If you have applied for a home loan and it has been approved you have to pay the file charges which is another name for administrative charges. after aprroval whether u utilise the loan or not, is your problem, not theirs
