Even though some of them are translation from their originals ,all are great literary works. But the top ten vary with person to person and surely all the above ten will definitely be in the top 100 in every ine\'s list.

Not all the books in the above list are English!
Nabokov, Twain, Shakespeare, Fitzgerald and Eliot wrote in English. The rest are translations into English from European languages Russian and French.
And they are not all considered classics either!

Glassic or otherwise, they are great novels. some of the books even though not written in English but over all considered as great. Moreover, i can also include some of the books, i hope you will also be interested. Charles Dicckens \" The Great Expectations \", Emily Brontes \" Wuthering Heights \" are master piece. Moreover if you consider \" Gone with the Wind \" by Margaret Michel as great , then it may also be included. Shakespeare other plays like Macbeth, Othelo and King Lear also considered as Classic and the last but not the least Pride and Prejudice and Emma are also can be considered as Classic.
