Why not , infact I know of an article involving a similar feat by a teenager (21/22 ) who was out on sea for almost 6 months, maybe this feat is next on her mind

Of course you can. One of my biggest inspirations has been a woman sailor called Isabelle Autissier who regularly beat men sailors in trans ocean races. There there are record breaking sailors like Dee Caffari and Ellen MacArthur. The ocean doesnt know if you are a man or woman!
