Why are there no aircraft manufacturing companies in India,in the private sector....

Because we don't have a concentrated effort on nation building. And it is managed by civilian bureaucracy sector :P
Making something hi tech lik aircrafts require military working in close cooperation w/ private sector in capitalist countries and w/ public sector in socialist countries and military in both must b, overtaking and direct ops....But that is not d case in India.
We have LCA, but that was due in like 1982.

Because the technical know how, the infrastructure and aeronautical engg needed has never been available in India............Aircrafts are always imported............its now that the Hindustan Aeronautical Limited (a public sector entity) has started producing Light combat Aircrafts ..........they still need to produce them on large scale.........
