Yes . BP is a global giant company and its participation here means more companies will be interested for oil exploration . Indias ninth round of oil and gas blocks auction under the new exploration licensing policy (Nelp) is likely to be shortly undertaken . ...Apart from huge cash accruing to RIL the proposed deal will benefit Indias oil sector by way of BPs sophisticated exploration and production technology. The transaction covers RILs most prolific D6 block in the Krishna-Godavari basin. The companies will also set up an equal joint venture in sourcing, transportation and marketing of gas. So this sort of future cooperation will be beneficial for RIL and consequently to RIL investors .
