1) It is not so amusing especially in the western world when both are single and ready to get married.
2) It is far better and legal than the Indian case of wealthy Indians indulging in all sorts of illegal and unethical practices like concubine system.
3) At the advanced age, it is all about the relationship and companionship and I do not think that it is out of place in our society also provided it is all done in a proper legal way.

2. But the would-be bride must be in a hurry, as the old bridegrroom may cease to exist any time & she will be the heir of all his properties.

I am not a all amused.If ND Tiwari could have sex with young girls at 85+,that too in a conservative country like ours,there is no reason at all for me to get amused when some western country people marry at late age.
