Divakaran is brother of Sasikala Natarajan who was ex-friend of Jayalalita. He was arrested in Salem recently in connection with a house-demolition case.

Divakaran (born 4 September 1942) is an Indian politician, State Executive Member of Communist Party of India (CPI), and National Working Committee Member of All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC). He is presently the Minister for Food and Civil Supplies in the Government of Kerala. He represents the Karunagappalli constituency in Kollam district in the Kerala Legislative Assembly.

the other is the brother of Smt. Sasikala
