I feel that in addition to Republic Day, Independence Day and Mahatma Gandhi's birthday, employees should be given option to select other 11 days off out of a list of about 24 days. This way, persons of each religion will select the days they want as holidays.
This arrangement can solve this problem in a decent way.

It is true...though no offence meant...helmet is compulsory for all....but for few the 'cap' is enough.... you can shout or abuse Hindus Gods.....but can't do for others.....the list it endless.....it happens only in India......other countries don't encourage this....

A student with 93% marks is denied admission to medical college but one with pass class gets it because of caste certificate. Holidays are a much lesser issue. Actually I like all the other holidays because you can finish your domestic work on such days. personally I feel there should be no public holidays.
If you don't like the system leave this country that's what many highly educated youths are doing. Wish I could do it and one day I will.
