The government of China entered into a similar deal in 1985. Are you aware of this ? Do you have any alternate plans for meeting the energy needs of growing India ? Is this also similar to your partymen smashing computers when it was introduced at workplaces ? Do you think History will forgive you for this 'ignorant' act of you and your aging partymen ? Why are you holding the country's development to ranson in the name of "sovereignty and independent foreign policy" - the populist words that you have based your arguments on ? Aren't you enjoying power without responsibility ?

Hey, CPI (M) led Left front believes in the principle of 3rd rater ruling over the masses, bcoz a vibrant, fast developing and independent India will pose a bigger challenge to 3rd rates products and services originating from China than anyone else. No wonder the Chinese must have transfered hundreds of billion dollars into the left's bank accounts.
Does the Left front oppose anyone when, some of the bigger Chinese companies wanted to invest (read control) some important operations close to Indian defence installations.
