Bharti Walmart has suspended five officials as part of an ongoing global investigation by the US retail giant Walmart against alleged corrupt practices in India...is anything going to come out of this or is it a cover up operation?
The investigation is being done by the principal who is from a different country, and by independent trained persons. It is likely that the outcome would be most fair, with the interest of justice in mind. The principal has a reputation to defend and it is unlikely that it would be a cover up operation. They have said that suspension does not mean the people involved are guilty. Lets wait and see what happens. This would be a sort of test case for retail in India by a foreign company.

Corrupt practices in India can prove a fertile ground for such corrupt people when MNCs enter the retail sector in India. That is a risk factor associated with this. In the present case Bharathi Walmart has to reveal the truth in order to maintain their credibility. Therefore some positive results are likely in this case
