Do we actually see with our eyes or brain?

1.
The light from the object is falling on the retina of the eye, it's converted into atomic motion by a chemical change and a signal is sent to brain. There the image formation takes place and we 'see' the object.

Our eye function is a combination of performance depending on optics including the functions of optical nerves.
