The most under-rated actor of India Akshaye Khanna is known to come up with natural and effortless performances in his movies. He won awards for his performances in Border(Filmfare Best Debut and Best Supporting Actor award), Humraaz( Filmfare Best Villain Award, and Dil Chahta Hai (Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award,). However critics and people who have watched Gandhi, My Father believe that Akshaye's recent portrayal of Harilal Gandhi in the movie is his career best, so far.

Let me tell you all, Salaam-e-Ishq is among the well-made movies! Salaam-e-Ishq has almost everything to be appreciated! The best thing of 'Salaam-e-Ishq' is Akshaye Khanna who has given an exceptional and superb performance! Akshaye Khanna is the best thing to watch in 'Salaam-e-Ishq'! Is the length of this wonderful movie a problem? Is 3.5 hours too long?! Huh?! Let me tell you that I don't mind to watch 'Salaam-e-Ishq' even for 6 hours! Is this movie confusing?! But, don't people have brain to understand it?! Don't they understand that the director of 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' wants to show and direct 'Salaam-e-Ishq' differently?!
