The United Liberation Front of Assam is an Assamese militant group one among the many in the North East India. This group wants to establish a sovereign Assam via an armed struggle. In the 1990 the Indian goverment had banned the organization and classified it as a terrorist group. It is also listed under "Other groups of concern" by the US State Department.
