Have u undergone ISO training ? Whats this all chatterbox about QUALITY ? Were these Jokers porters in Kwality Ice Cream ? If, these Trainers / Lecturers are so perfect about Quality, why they are serving in DNV, BV etc ? Why they are not EMPLOYERS instead ? Who stopped them fm being Bill Gates, Ambanis, Mallyas or Mittals ? Why lecture the humble work force who already doing their job ? For money ..?? In my opinion, they are hired parrots !! Whats your views ?
Thanks Raj for inviting me over to answer this question. Last night I could not answer because net was playing pranks but I woke up early morning to answer your very important question. Please go through my answer slowly and you will know what I mean.
Once upon a time there lived a hermit. He made his livelihood on alms. Everyday he would go to a limited number of houses and say aloud, Ram Ram Karai, Bhavasagar Tarai (One who keeps on reciting the name of Lord, swims across the ocean of existence, i.e. transcends the cycle of birth & death). He subsisted solely on whatever he received from these few houses. One day as he was asking for alms at a house, an encaged parrot, at the door of the house, who had been listening to his repeated chanting, Ram Ram Karai Bhavasagar Tarai, got annoyed and interrupted, Baba! Why are you preaching a falsity? Why? What makes you say so, my dear? asked the recluse. The parrot explained, What you say might be true in theory, but it is not true practi

Oh no not again ISO ,recently n 11th sept there was ISO audit in my plant and i was not only bogged down but every minute cursing myself as to why i lbecame MR (management r epresentative) .They say whatever you do you write and follow.
Coming to QUALITY they introduce so many systems that whole day production person will have to fill up the registers instead of monitoring and following up production activities.
Atlease parrots are betters atleast after some time they will get convinced but these iso ppl my god ..........
You have given a perfect name for them But compared to DNV ,BVQI ,SGS is little better and flexible i feel so....

I agree one hundred percent,no trainer and lecturer can develop an individual based yardstick to ascertain attributes.....and the generalisations get them nowhere at all.....yet these ppl are hired and given the impossible task to become psycho analysts and management gurus at one go!!
its all a pressure building facade, which rarely or never fetches any dividends.
the buffer zone dat is an urgent requirement ,is never really developed....fearing having more than what can be handled at hand!!!
the parallel drawn by you is fair enough i guess.
when there is no originality and no individual management....how can it be anything more?

Yes, they are hired parrots. You have used an appropriate term. The MBA culture gave rise to such things, worst part is all of them form a mutual admiration society. A non-MBA is considered a pariah ... I just want to know did the founders of the great business like Tata, Ford, Birla, Ambani, Coke, Levi's, Modi, etc. ever went to any institution to get a MBA degree? They were successful and their organisations are still running on those old ethics / principles and are still successful. ________________________ and the biggest question of them all - WHO TAUGHT THE FIRST BATCH OF THE MBA COURSE? (was that person an MBA?)

Just give a thought,if there were no quality standards....how a buyer would judge a product? keep on spending money until he finds a good quality ice-cream ?Quality standards are hard to follow but you should remember that Quality is the only attribute that will help you survive the compition.
MOTTO of quality trainings is:
prevention is better than cure :))

Its ALWAYS so much easier to be particular about quality control when its SOMEONE else who's sweating it out. Ask these guys to be on the receiving side and they will realise that they cannot deliver even half of what they expect.....Its basically an extension of human nature.....being an uncompromising critic!!!!!!!

Yes, I agree with your words to a certain extent and sometimes I feel any training may improve provided we must have our own ways of dealing with things . Experience in working may make us more perfect and in decision making, to cope with different types of situations, at varied intervels may teach us how to be more careful and more than theoritical knowledge practical knowledge is very essential to face any tough situation and one has to be ready for the worst situation to be overcomed. Guidence from our seniors, our own earlier experiences , hard work, dedication and a quality approach to work in a humble ways may help to create a goodwill which would always be a plus point to carry out our tasks with ease. All these hired parrots may be utilised for the sake of making money by some companies..

Agreed....the people trained in quality control can only provide conventional approach / theoretical expertise in sustaining the quality of the product but it can never replace the practical efficiency that comes with experience............................
....If one studies the lives of successful first generation business men (Our own D.Ambani, Virgin atlantics Richard Branson, and many others)...we will find that most of them did not have any formal training ....they learned by experience, adapted to situations and went by gut instinct. A person who can gain the right instincts, outlooks, and insights early can become an entrepreneur ...because NO training can teach them how to run a business if they do not have an ability to adapt and make inspired choices.
An MBA or a trained Grad goes by the book... and therefore finds it difficult to swim with the tide..Bookish knowledge can be good in theorising....but they lack street smartness or adaptability that is so very essential
